Plants that look good, while doing good
We have made significant strides in reducing the environmental impact of our products, packaging, and practices. From fully recyclable artificial green walls to responsibly sourced and recyclable packaging, we aim to leverage our position as market leaders to set a precedent for a greener future.
Shop with a conscience
Designed to last a lifetime
The beauty of artificial plants lies in their durability and low maintenance, allowing them to remain as good as new for decades without any particular care. This means you won't need to replace them frequently, unlike natural plants.
Lower carbon footprint
Considering the masses of energy required to heat and light greenhouses, as well as the transportation by plane and refrigerated truck, it's no surprise that natural plants grown for commercial use generate much higher greenhouse gas emissions than artificial plants.
Zero maintenance
Did you know that 70% of the UAE’s total water consumption goes towards irrigation? This is a result of the planting of vegetation that is ill-suited to the region’s hot and arid climate. By opting for artificial, our customers save valuable water, time, and money.
Reducing and reusing
The real issue is not plastic itself, but how people choose to use it
Our over-reliance on disposable, single-use plastics such as carrier bags, drink bottles, straws, and cutlery are the root cause of plastic pollution. Instead of vilifying durable artificial plants, which are designed to last for decades, the world's focus should be on reducing the use of these throwaway plastics. These often contain harmful chemicals like lead, mercury, boric acid, heavy metals, and cadmium, unlike the non-toxic plastics used in our plants and foliage.
In our effort to contribute, we have significantly reduced the use of disposable plastic in our packaging. We are replacing cellophane with recycled paper and introducing recyclable plastic air pillows and bubble wrap. Our new boxes are even designed to minimise wastage and facilitate consolidated shipments.
Planting the seeds of change
While our bespoke trees are renowned for their preservation of the innate charm and unique character of the once-living tree trunk, we are committed to ensuring that this is achieved without harming the breathtaking woodlands they came from. That's why we only use decommissioned trunks and branches that have been cleared from sustainably managed woodland farms to make way for new growth.
We take it a step further to ensure a net-positive impact on our planet by planting a tree for every bespoke order we receive. This simple yet powerful act serves as one of the most effective ways to offset carbon emissions, with each tree offsetting one pound of carbon emissions. Through this initiative, we strive to create a greener future, one order at a time.
Cutting our carbon footprint
Did you know that air freight is 31 times more harmful to the environment than sea freight?
One major benefit of opting for artificial plants over natural ones is the flexibility in transportation. Natural plants need to be shipped and received within five days to remain fresh, often requiring refrigerated trucks and plenty of space to prevent damage. In contrast, artificial plants can be packed tightly and transported under any conditions, arriving in perfect condition.
This allows us to use sea transportation for all our products, consolidating containers to minimize impact and reduce our carbon footprint. The positive effect this has on our delivery charge is merely an added bonus!
Perfecting our packaging
Waste reduction strategies in full bloom
In line with our commitment to implement green practices within our manufacturing processes, we have introduced a comprehensive strategy to repurpose all scrap cardboard in one of two ways. The first and simplest method involves reusing these cuttings within our packaging processes, effectively reducing the need for new materials and minimising waste.
Any cardboard that cannot be reused within our facility is compacted into bales and delivered to a local company specialising in transforming it into shredded material. This shredded cardboard serves as a more sustainable alternative to conventional packaging materials like bubble wrap and polystyrene, while also being equally effective in ensuring the safety of our products during transportation.
